Hey guys, i've a bit of time now, so i think i'll write about how i spent my xmas eve. being a non-christian, i wasn't too particular about where or what i did for xmas eve. but it's pretty cool that i had the chance to get out of the house. well anyway, i went with the orchestra to the closing ceremony of the uni's inter-hostel sports competition. it was held at the marching field near KTC.
Basically what we did there was provide marching songs for the march-in at the beginning of the event. then came the speeches. then there was entertainment like zapin dances, taerobic and senamrobik. the senamrobic was pretty lame, we were laughing at it cos there were only guys in it. they're kinda pantang about girls and moving parts of the body :)
there wasn't much work for us, cos we only played at the end of the event when everyone was leaving. and in between stuff i think, as well as before the event started. i didn't have much work myself cos there were 2 other drummers there, so it was quite relaxing for me. mr pro took the marching songs cos me and the other guy, yusri couldn't do proper rolling. then yusri took the harder ones and me the easier ones. actually there's not much difference between the hard and easy ones, it's just that yusri can pull it off better, so i just let him play what ever songs that he wanted, and he dumped all the boring ones to me :) less chance for me to screw up :P
with all the free time we had, which was quite a lot, we basically talked and crapped. major teasing went on -from me and q, the keyboardist to the guitarist and his 'friend'. "where's she?","don't know..", "went back already is it?".. "don't know.." yeah right...!
basically all the orchestra members were there: me, yin, q, meiyi, the guys like amirul, ali, syawal, yusri, mr zali, then the blowing section of trombones(chow it) and saxes(chua, nadia n one more not sure what name) and trumpets(some malay guy, not sure what's his name). saw mr zali's baby daniel for a while before he went back with wife, kimmy :)
good grief, yusri just sat down at the pc next to mine. better go!
